Members are invited to the ASIEQ quarterly forum.  This meeting will be held at the office of MinterEllison, level 22, 1 Eagle Street Brisbane and via Zoom.  To RSVP, please email our Secretariat for the meeting request with the Zoom codes.  The meeting will run from 9am – 9.45am and the professional development session will run from 10.15am – 11.30am.

The Professional Development section of the meeting will cover:

Glencore’s transition back to the Scheme
Difficulties within the Reinsurance Market and the application of Section 100 in the process.  Bill Nevin.

Limited resources?  Identifying high risk musculoskeletal cases in the hours
following injury.
David Brentnall from AXIS Rehabilitation will join us for a follow up presentation from the ASIEQ 2022 Conference.

At the ASIEQ AGM held on 27 October 2021, a new Executive Committee was sworn in.  We are very pleased to welcome our Committee for 2021/22.

Executive Committee Nominations

Members are invited to nominate for the 2021/22 Association of Self Insured Employers of Queensland Executive Committee. The role will be effective from the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 27 October until the 2022 Annual General Meeting in late October 2022.Members are also invited to nominate for the 2020 Committee. Nominations open on1 October and will close at 5pm (AEST) on Friday 15 October 2020.

Members are encouraged to download the following By-Law which contain information on role responsibilities for the Executive Committee.

Just a reminder that the organisation is the member and therefore can nominate one person per organisation.  The positions are open to full financial members only.  Full members can nominate an Associate Member to represent them.

Should you wish to discuss any of the positions available on the ASIEQ Executive, you can contact a current committee member or our Secretariat.

ASIEQ AGM – new date

The ASIEQ Annual General Meeting has moved from Friday 29 October which has been declared a public holiday in Brisbane.

The Annual General Meeting will now be held on Wednesday 27 October at 3pm.  It will be decided closer to the date as to whether it is in person or virtual.

Members and Associate members are invited to attend – we hope you will join us.

August Member Forum and PD Session

Sadly we are back to being online due to the current health situation.  We invite members to join us for the August Member’s forum and discussion topic “Engaging the Employer to drive Workers’ Compensation Outcomes”.

A week later, we are pleased to be hosting an online session with Recovre’s Pain Program: Resolve, by Amelio Heath. The presentation will be lead by Alice Fung, Recovre National Service Delivery Manager (Life Insurance) and Kathy Hubble, Amelio Health Chief Executive Officer.

Please feel free to share this session information with your wider team however it is only available to ASIEQ members.
